Favorite food? Homemade tacos, I could eat them every single day! I also really like foreign food.

Favorite color? Oh that’s easy. I like the color green. Medium green, not that freaky light green.

Describe your on-air shifts: Full Court Press is a sports talk show with myself and two cohosts; Jamie Dodane and Josh Burris. We do a segment called “Behind the Sport” where we talk to student athletes or coaches involved in CU sports. This really brings the students and faculty together on the base of sports. During my DJ shift, I take the time to focus on a ‘verse of the week’. I try to find a verse that relates to events going on in our community, country, or school that would really encourage people.

How did you get involved with Resound? My freshman roommate’s brother was the operations director at Resound last year, and he texted me over Christmas break wanting to know if I would be willing to participate in a weekly sports cast. After a month of trying to convince me, I decided to give it a shot and contact Amy Radwanski, who got my information and then transitioned into a month or two of planning and practicing for Full Court Press. We went through a lot of adjusting and changing things up. Full Court Press just celebrated its one-year anniversary of being on the air about two weeks ago. For my DJ shift, this is my first full year being involved in a solo on-air time, so I am still learning a lot from that! It’s definitely a learning curve, but I love being able to share my stories of what I experience throughout the week, and connecting with the listeners.

What are your hobbies? I love to travel, and I have been on several mission trips. I have also recently gotten back into playing airsoft, which is really fun. My mom’s family has a farm, and I love going out and working on the farm as well.

What is your life goal? I want to leave this earth having made an impact. And I don’t mean an impact by my own standards, but an impact according to God’s standards. I want to leave an impact for Christ through Christ.

Random fact about you? While traveling with my family once, I was actually stopped by security and frisked. That was probably the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me!

Final thoughts? I do what I do for the love of it. I don’t do what I do for the money, but for the love. My major is not a financially glorifying one, and neither is radio. I enjoy both teaching young kids, and devoting some of my time to be on the radio. Both are really fun, and a great outlet to be able to reach people for the name of Christ. I want to be doing radio for as long as God wills!

Advice for readers/listeners? We need another host for our show, and it is so fun! If you have any interest in radio at all, definitely come check out Resound!
