Favorite food? Properly cooked sirloin steak

Favorite color? It depends on my mood, but I really like a deep, dark purple or a dark aquamarine.

Favorite Resound song? Breathe by Johnny Diaz. I like it because it has a really relaxing chorus.

Favorite Bible verse? 1 Chronicles 17:16 – Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and said, “Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far?”

How did you get involved with Resound? I started last year doing Production. I still do that for Resound and on my free time. This year, I wanted to try something new, so I picked up a weather break. For production, I do a lot of liners and promos for shows. I created the current weather liner, the promo for Your Story, the liners for the Music Man, and several others.

What else are you involved in on campus? I was in the Music Man here as a dancing teen, and I am in the pit orchestra for the Spring Musical (State Fair) for Cedar Cliff high school. I am in FilmGate as one of their main audio technicians and sound designer. I am also in Men’s Glee club, and I was in symphonic and pep band last year. I currently work with IT and am the Student Lead for User Services.

What are your hobbies? I like to sing, read, play violin and saxophone, listen to music, record/mix audio, and sleep.

Random fact about you? I am a speedcuber, and I can solve a Rubik’s Cube in under 13 seconds. I have been to a competition, where I placed around 15th of 90 cubers, and I have a collection of just over 70 puzzles. I have solved a Rubik’s cube in under 10 seconds multiple times.

Life goal? I want to work in the professional audio field, whether radio or film. I would love to work in a studio or on film sets and to leave an impact for Christ through that field.

Advice for Blog Readers? Always try something new, because you never know what could happen. I joined The Music Man, and it was something I had never done before, but it was really a lot of fun! Trying something new might change your career path, or it may just be fun for you. In the end, it is better to say that you attempted something, than to say you have never tried it but could have.
